Janisse Ray, Writer, Naturalist, and Activist Headlines 5th Annual Farm to Table Dinner
Savor recipes made with the freshest local ingredients at the Zach S. Henderson Library's signature fundraiser - The Farm to Table Dinner. Executive Chef Kevin Case of Eagle Dining Services calls the annual event, "A time to prepare and serve locally grown foods with exquisite taste!"
In addition to the dinner of seasonal culinary delights, guests will hear from award-winning writer, naturalist, and activist Janisse Ray, author of The Seed Underground,advocating the growing revolution to preserve heritage or heirloom seeds in an effort to protect our future food supply.
The dinner will be held in the Nessmith Lane Ballroom starting with cocktails at 6:30 P.M. Tickets are $75, and are available by calling 912.478.5115. Hosted by the Friends of Henderson Library, proceeds fund the purchase of library resources such as GALILEO databases and membership in the Center for Research Libraries. www.library.georgiasouthern.edu
